The Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest winners for Area 17 are:

Phillis Blackwell, who won Best Speaker and John Porterfield, who won Best Evaluator at the Area Contest on September 21. They will represent Opportunity and Area 17 at the Central Division Contest on October 5 at LaPrade Library, Chesterfield Co.
